This is a test to see how long an SD card can survive while running a standard weewx installation. The test uses an unmodified version of the "Standard" weewx skin. While all pages are generated, only this page is uploaded to my webserver so as to minimize the hit on my limited upload bandwidth.
Otherwise, the installation is no different than any other weewx installation.
The card was first put into service on 7 December 2014, so the total runtime so far is approximately 9 years and 261.7 days.
Configuration:
- Raspberry Pi B+
- Sandisk Extreme Plus 16GB SD card
- Raspbian Wheezy, kernel 3.12.28+
- Sqlite database
- Five minute archive interval
- Normal logging, done to the SD card
- No debugging
- Uninterruptible power supply
